Pursuit of HappinessPersonal FulfilmentYou may find in time that relative health, peace and wealth are not enough. Peace of mind or true happiness seems to require some sort of transcendence, beyond ego and self fulfilment. Most beliefs and religions do not pass the "How do you know?" test. One that mostly does is the Quakers, but they have no creed and are arguably not a religion (at least in the UK). This is probably a good thing. True self fulfillment seems to come from adherence to the Universal Law. This takes many forms, and is sometimes known as the Law of Karma or the Sermon on the Mount, e.g.:

Art of HappinessSubconscious MindAll the un-resolved emotions you have experienced in your life are held in the unconscious mind (sometimes called the emotional self or shadow), until dissolved. Suppressing them just causes them to go under and fester, whilst expressing them can just re-enforce them. You may need to release (dissolve) suppressed emotions through forgiveness and acceptance, of others as much as oneself! The best approaches seem to be (external links):
