What is Britain Yearly Meeting?

Britain Yearly Meeting or BYM is short for The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain. This is the umbrella organisation for Friends (Quakers) in England, Wales and Scotland. For further information please see www.quaker.org.uk.

There are many other, independent, Yearly Meetings in America, Africa and elswhere in the world, belonging to several traditions but most tracing their origin back to the sevententh century. Please see www.quaker.org for further information.

Who Are Quakers?

Quakers are members of the Religious Society of Friends. We meet regularly to worship God and to enjoy the fellowship of others. We are men, women, children and young people from all walks of life who share an outlook which respects other people even when we don't agree with them.

For further information please see www.quaker.org.uk.
